Stringy-toothed flying reptiles filtered their tiny food from the lakes and rivers of Argentina in the Early Cretaceous.

A rock formation in the San Luis Province of Patagonia, in Argentina, it preserves the fossils of Pterodaustro. The formation is 105 million years old, dating back to the Albian Stage of the Early Cretaceous.
